Located 175km SSW of Perth, the port city of Bunbury is Western Australia’s third largest city, and was named after Lieutenant Henry William St Pierre Bunbury, a soldier and explorer.
The port services mostly farming, mining and timber industries, and the city is home to almost 80’000 people, most of which were born and bred in Australia.
Bunbury offers a lot to new residents and tourist alike, and a good place to start your visit is at the Bunbury Farmers Market. The market is a great place to get some greens, cheeses and other yummy treats.
For those fresh in Australia, a visit to the Bunbury Wildlife Park is a great way to introduce yourself to the local wildlife, without getting eaten by them.
Those loving the ocean can enjoy the view from the Marlston Hill Lookout Tower, or they can get closer to the water at Back Beach or Koombana Bay. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the dolphins or whales.
If you can’t spot them from land, you can always head for the high seas, and see the whales and dolphins up close.
If you are still unsure about what to do in Bunbury, then you can head down to the Bunbury Visitors Centre, and they will provide you with a plethora of things to do. Including directions to the library, so that you can research the meaning of the word “plethora”.
And if all this excitement tires you out, then you can go shopping or dining at the many stores and restaurants in town, each one offering their unique fare.
Once you’ve finished your shopping, you are welcome to head down to 27 McCombe Road in Davenport, where you can place all your newly purchased items in our beautiful StoreLocal Self Storage facility.
Your goods will be secure at StoreLocal Bunbury, and no matter what you’ve bought, from new furniture to a caravan, StoreLocal Bunbury can store it for you, and it will be safe and secure.
