Vikings Rugby Club was formed in 1958 and is the oldest and most successful rugby club in the Illawarra District Rugby Association, with numerous premierships across senior and junior grades.

Vikings began at Figtree Oval before securing land on Swan and Corrimal Streets in 1970, where members built their own rugby field and clubhouse through volunteer labour and community support.

Today, Vikings manages facilities including a first-class rugby field, modern lighting, training areas, dressing rooms, function spaces, a gymnasium, canteen and barbecue area.

Vikings also has a proud representative history, producing players who have earned honours at Australian, Wallabies, NSW Country and Illawarra levels.
