Brothers Rugby Club is one of Queensland’s most historic rugby clubs, and the oldest continuously active “Premier” football club of any code, founded in 1905.
Brother’s identity is closely tied to the iconic navy and white “Butcher Stripes”, a heritage linked to St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace and worn by the club since its earliest years.
Brothers has made a significant contribution to Australian rugby, producing numerous Queensland and Australian representatives, including Wallabies and Wallaby captains. The club has achieved sustained on-field success across its history, including multiple Hospital Cup Premier in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition.
Crosby Park at Albion remains the club’s spiritual home and an important gathering place for players, families, old boys and old girls and supporters.
Brothers Rugby Club continues to position itself as a community built on tradition, excellence, mateship and lifelong involvement in rugby.
