GETTING STARTED WITH STORELOCAL

Everything You Need to Get Started

Thank you for choosing StoreLocal. To help you get started, we have put together a few quick tips so that you can access your unit with ease.

Below you will find short videos and simple steps that walk you through everything from getting into the facility to opening your unit with the app.

Step 1.
Download the StoreLocal App

The StoreLocal app is how you access your unit and move around the facility.

Download the app before you arrive and allow Bluetooth and location permissions when prompted. These are required for gates, lifts, and unit access.

If you encounter any issues with Bluetooth access:

  • Check that Bluetooth is turned on.

  • Confirm permissions are enabled in your phone settings.

  • Fully close the StoreLocal app, then reopen it.

This often resolves connection issues immediately.

Step 2.
Arriving at the Facility and Opening the Gate

When you arrive, open the StoreLocal app and wait for the relevant gate, door, or lift to appear on your access screen.

Make sure you are within close proximity to the gate or door, with Bluetooth turned on and permissions enabled for the app. Access options will only appear when you are nearby.

At some facilities, you may also be prompted to enter an access code. If required, follow the on-screen instructions or signage at the facility.

Step 3.
Using the Lift (if needed)

Once inside, use the app to access internal doors, lifts, and your storage unit. Some locks may require you to hold your phone closer or briefly wave your hand over the keypad to activate the Bluetooth connection.

At some facilities, you may also need to enter an access code in the lift. If required, follow the on-screen instructions or facility signage.

Step 4.
Finding Your Unit

Your unit number is shown in your booking confirmation and within the StoreLocal app.

Once on your level, follow the signage located at key points throughout the facility to help guide you to your unit. A handy map is also available within the StoreLocal app, making it easy to navigate your way around.

Step 5.
Opening Your Unit with the App

Stand directly in front of your unit door and open the StoreLocal app. Tap the unit icon to unlock your unit. Some phones may require you to hold your device closer to the lock for the Bluetooth signal to register.

Units without an automated locking system will require a personal padlock.
